Medicaid working group hosts first town hall meeting

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
Raimondo has proposed a 9 percent reduction in Medicaid growth, or about $90 million in savings.
The 29-member group is responsible for recommending long-term, structural reforms to ensure better health outcomes and deliver more value.
It is hosting four public meetings across the state before presenting budget recommendations April 30.
In Woonsocket, Health and Human Services Secretary Elizabeth Roberts will discuss the challenges the system faces before asking for public comment.
The remaining meetings will be held in Providence, South Kingstown and Portsmouth.
