One of the highest honors in the Bristol 4th of July celebration is being
named chief marshal of the parade. The man who
holds the title for this year's 4th of July celebration is Louis P. Cirillo. He's served as Town Clerk for 9 years and is a sixth generation Bristolian. Cirillo and his wife, Susan, live just steps from Hope street.
Cirillo says he is both honored and humbled to be named Chief Marshal of this year's 4th of July celebration.
“I've known just about every Chief Marshal that has served during my lifetime and I count them among you know certainly the most respected people in the community and just to be added to that list is incredible,” said Cirillo.
As we countdown to the parade, Cirillo's hope is that everyone has a great time.
“I don't really expect they remember me I just hope they remember that it was another great 4th of july in a long succession of great fourths of July.”
