Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $480 million

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — There was no jackpot winner for the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night.

The prize will climb to $480 million for Friday’s drawing.

The cash option for that drawing would be $276 million for the grand prize winner.

Tuesday’s drawing was for the largest prize the lottery has offered in about 14 months, and the 11th largest in Mega Millions history.

The last time that the jackpot was won was in Tennessee back in April. That winner took home $20 million.
