Melrose Elementary in Jamestown tops state in attendance

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee will visit an elementary school that’s leading the state in two major categories.

Melrose Elementary in Jamestown had the best attendance of any elementary school in the Ocean State.

They also have a fourth grade class with 100 percent proficiency on the math RI Comprehensive Assessment System test last year.
