Memorial Day Parade schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Memorial Day observances are being held all across Southern New England on Monday.
Battleship Cove in Fall River will hold a commemoration ceremony Monday afternoon. During the event, a 21 gun salute will honor the fallen and gold star families.
The ceremony is open to the public at no charge. All veterans will receive free admission.
Local veterans will be taking part in several parades across Rhode Island.
Parades are planned in Jamestown, North Kingstown, Pawtucket, Cranston, East Greenwich, Barrington, Exeter, Warwick, and Woonsocket.
Jamestown: Memorial Day Parade will kick off at 10 a.m. starting at Watson and Lawn avenues, proceeding down south on North Road to the cemetery for a brief ceremony. The parade will then continue along Narragansett Avenue to Veterans Memorial Square at East Ferry for a wreath laying and honors ceremony.
North Kingstown: The annual parade will begin at 10 a.m. and the parade route will follow the lengths of West Main, Brown, and Phillips Streets through Wickford village to Tower Hill Road and then onto the grounds of Elm Grove Cemetery at the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial for the concluding ceremonies which are expected to begin at 11 a.m.
Pawtucket: The Pawtucket Veterans Council will conduct Memorial Day rites at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park.
Cranston: Governors Elisha Dyer Camp 7 will be hosting Patriotic readings and period military salute by 2nd RI Infantry and 3rd RI Heavy Artillery, sons of Veterans Reserve at 6 p.m. at Pocasset Cemetery.
East Greenwich: Memorial Day Parade will kick off from Academy Field and wind through the Hill District by way of Mawney Street beginning at 10 a.m.
Barrington: Memorial Day Parade will take place on County Road from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Exeter: Governor Gina Raimondo will be joined by members of the congressional delegation including Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressmen David Cicilline and Jim Langevin to commemorate Memorial Day at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
Warwick: Governor Raimondo will participate in the Warwick Memorial Day Parade at the Bishop Hendricken High School at 9:30 a.m.
Woonsocket: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt welcomes the greater Woonsocket community to join the City of Woonsocket and the United Veterans Council of Woonsocket (UVCW) in honoring those veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day at a 10:30 a.m. ceremony at the UVCW Veterans Park
