Middletown police alert residents about suspicious man

Police in Middletown are alerting residents about a possible suspicious man in the area.
Multiple calls were made to the Middletown police in the last few weeks to report a male who has been suspiciously watching children in their yards. One caller said the man appeared to be photographing a child with his cell phone.
Police say the suspect, an older white male “with striking gray hair” according to callers, has been seen in the area around Boulevard and Miantonomi Avenue. Police have increased their patrols in that area in the hopes of finding the man.
The news has several parents worried. "You immediately jump into protection mode, immediately," explained Lauren Bickings. "Checking locks, constantly having to look outside." Bickings says she fears for her 4 year-old son. "This is very scary because we don’t know what [the man’s] motive is."
