Mild days ahead until week ends with increased heat and humidity

Heat and humidity returns Thursday

We had a cold front roll through last night, and this brought a few storms to our area. Luckily it seems like we were spared of any severe weather – and all of this morning’s storm damage reports are to our north and west. Now that the cold front has moved through, we are in for a very comfortable start to this week.

Today, sunshine will dominate and this will allow afternoon highs to climb into the low 80s. Keep in mind there will be a breeze out of the north that may be a bit gusty at times, from 10-15 mph. Humidity is much lower than yesterday, and this means tonight will be a cool one as well. Lows will be in the upper 50s, a perfect night to open up those windows and give the AC a break.

Today, tomorrow, and Wednesday shape up much the same, but we crank up the heat and humidity on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s and 90s. Friday looks to be the hottest of the week, although it will remain warm and muggy through the weekend. The weekend also brings a chance for showers and storms both days, but I don’t think it will be a washout. Just keep an eye on the forecast if you have any plans.

Have a great week!
