Mild For Now With Rain Coming For The Second Half Of The Week

After such a nice Christmas Day thanks to High pressure sitting over the region bringing temperatures that topped off well into the 50s we’ll be looking at another decent day tomorrow as that High begins to moves away from the coast. Clouds thicken overnight with areas of fog and spotty drizzle developing and lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. Tuesday will be rather cloudy with some breaks of sun and readings climbing to the low 50s.
While we are enjoying the nice weather for now a storm system will be forming along the Southeastern Coastline and moving up into New England. Look for highs to be in the low 50s once again and at the moment it looks like we’ll stay on the dry side until later Wednesday afternoon and then periods of rain will sweep across the region. The storm will pull away on Thursday with rain tapering off in the morning, but a couple of weak trailing Low pressure areas will keep us in the clouds and will likely keep us in the rain shower threat through Friday. Highs will be near 50 Thursday and then drop to the mid 40s Friday.
That cooling trend will continue into the weekend, but the sunshine will be back for the last days of 2023!
