Milling and paving work scheduled for Washington Bridge
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said that a milling and paving operation on the Washington Bridge is scheduled to begin Sunday.
RIDOT said the work is to address “the current riding surface on Interstate 195” and should run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on April 21 into the next week.
Alternating lane closures are set to occur in both directions of I-195 through the crossover from South Main Street to the Washington Bridge.
RIDOT said the work will start in the eastbound lanes and then move to the westbound lanes.
