Medium security facility at ACI on lockdown again after threat

The John J. Moran Medium Security Facility at the ACI in Cranston is currently on lockdown.
The Department of Corrections says the prison was placed on lockdown after a second letter that threatened corrections officers was found.
A DOC spokesperson say the investigation is being conducted with the help of the Rhode Island State Police.
A written threat detailing a hit on a correctional officer at the ACI forced the prison into lockdown for hours last week.
A spokesperson says the facility will remain on lockdown until the investigation is complete. He said there is no threat to the public.
