Miss Rhode Island awarded Miss Congeniality

Miss Rhode Island may not have taken home the crown at this weekend’s Miss USA competition, but she did not leave empty handed. Christina Palavra was awarded the title of ‘Miss Congeniality’.
Miss Nevada was crowed Miss USA 2014. Nia Sanchez, a fourth–degree black belt in Taekwondo, beat out 50 other contestants last night in Louisiana.
First runner up was Miss North Dakota, Audra Mari.
Sanchez will go on to represent the U.S. at the Miss Universe competition later is year.
