WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Family members and investigators are searching for a 12-year-old Exeter girl, who went missing on Friday afternoon.

Nadia Frost’s mother, Meredith Frost Ingebretsen, told ABC 6 News that her daughter was last seen leaving her grandmother’s house on Flynn Terrace in West Warwick around 2:30 p.m. to grab a snack at a nearby store.

Frost was spending the day with her grandmother and aunt baking cookies and working on puzzles.

“I can’t imagine that she wandered off. My concern is that somebody either lurid her out or that somebody got her while she was out,” Frost Ingebretsen said.

According to Frost Ingebretsen, her daughter has a cellphone, but it only works off WiFi, and so she wouldn’t be able to just call her daughter.

“This is very unlike her,” Frost Ingebretsen said. “She’s not a worldly kid, she’s not rough. She’s a cuddly little 12-year-old that likes to snuggle her mom.”

Frost Ingebretsen describes her daughter as 5’3”, 170 lbs. with braces, short brown hair, brown eyes. She was last seen in a blue and black plaid shirt and skinny blue jeans.

West Warwick police confirmed to ABC 6 News that they’re investigating Frost’s disappearance.

If you have any information about Frost’s whereabouts you’re being asked to contact West Warwick police at (401) 821-4323.
