Missing autistic Cranston woman found

Linda DaLomba (Cranston Police Department)

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said that the autistic woman who had been missing since March 19 was found Sunday.

Linda Delomba was found inside a parked vehicle at the intersection of Pond Street and Station Street that a neighbor was attempting to jumpstart because it had been in the area for a number of days.

The department said that Delomba was conscious and alert, and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation.

Police added that the Delomba’s caretaker was arrested after she had given conflicting stories on what occurred the day she went missing.

The case was turned into a criminal investigation on March 21 after multiple interviews with persons-of-interest and search warrants were executed.
