After more than a week lost at sea, one of the Connecticut boaters who went missing off a Rhode Island marina is set to arrive in Boston Tuesday.

Nathan Carman will arrive on the freighter that rescued him Sunday off of Martha’s Vineyard.

Carman and his mother, Linda, left Point Judith on September 17th for a fishing trip on their boat called “The Chicken Pox.”

Coast Guard officials say there are no plans to re-open the search for Linda.

Family members say Nathan has aspergers, a form of autism.

“When the boat started taking on water, he got his life raft, he went looking for his mom to get into the life raft and he couldn’t find her,” said Nicole Groll; Coast Guard spokeswoman.

Family members back home in Connecticut are not giving up. In fact, they have been tying yelling ribbons of hope.

“We are ecstatic, we’re excited, and we feel like we’re making a difference. So, we’re hoping, desperately hoping, that this will continue working, we’re gonna continue praying, and keep putting our positive energies together, and hopefully Linda will make her way back really soon,” said Glenn Lazinskn; family friend.
