Missing swimmer dies after being pulled from water off Conimicut Point

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE): An adult male died after being pulled from the water at Conimicut Point Beach on Saturday afternoon, according to the Warwick Fire Department. 

The Warwick Police Department was responding to a missing swimmer at Conimicut Point before 3:30 p.m.  

The department’s marine units, dive team, and other assets from the Narragansett Bay Marine Task Force conducted a search.

One hour after their search, an adult male was found and transferred to shore. 

The male died at Kent Hospital shortly after.
