Monday Night Forecast
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The High-Pressure center to our north was responsible for the nice start to the week today and will provide us with a nice pleasant and not-so-cool night tonight with lows in the mid-40s. This High maintains mostly sunny and dry weather on Tuesday.
However, the High moves east to the Canadian Maritimes tomorrow, which causes the winds to turn onshore. This halts temperatures from rising around midday near the coast and results in cooling for the afternoon, but inland it will warm to the mid-60s again.
Plenty of clouds move in for Wednesday as a warm front pushes into the region. The front also causes showers to pop up for the afternoon and more so the evening. Spotty showers linger overnight and continue on Thursday when they can become more numerous at times.
A period of rain and gusty winds occur Friday morning as Low Pressure passing to the west sends a Cold Front through New England. We will need to keep an eye out for the potential of coastal flooding during Friday’s Hi-Tide cycle.
The last of the showers should be ending Friday night with slow improvement slated for Saturday, but then it’ll start to warm again into Sunday.
