More Local Baseball Players Selected During Day Three Of MLB Draft

More baseball players with local ties were chosen by organizations during Day Three of the MLB Draft.
Former Hendricken pitcher Mike King, who threw six innings for Boston College in an NCAA Super Regional win Saturday, was taken in the 12th round by the Miami Marlins.
Two Bryant Bulldogs were selected Saturday. Pitcher/Outfielder Brandon Bingel was taken in the 22nd round by the Pittsburgh Pirates. In the 25th round, Warwick’s Robby Rinn was chosen by the Kansas City Royals.
Brown University pitcher Austin French was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 27th round.
URI had one player selected, in catcher Chase Livingston, selected in the 39th round by the Royals.
Finally, Bishop Hendricken senior Dante Baldelli, younger brother of former MLB player Rocco Baldelli, was chosen in the 39th round by the Philadelphia Phillies.
