Morning rain with afternoon sunshine

Rain moves through this morning courtesy of a warm front. Conditions will improve as the day progresses.

Rain exits the region by mid to late morning which will give way to some sun. Temperatures will warm up to upper 60s. A cold front will bring dry and cooler temperatures overnight into tomorrow.

We go from the upper 60s today to upper 40s with sun tomorrow. Another system will bring rain Wednesday night to Thursday. Temperatures will be cold enough to provide mixed precipitation over interior New England — not ruling out a brief period of mix locally. This will be early morning Thursday.

Friday clouds linger with temperatures moderating into the low-50s. Weekend looks dry and cold in the mid-40s. Keep in mind that normal temperatures are mid-50s for Providence.
