Mother defends disabled toddler after Facebook user posts cruel comment

The mother of a disabled toddler is taking to Facebook to defend her daughter after one user wrote these hurtful words about her two and a half year old’s appearance: "Angela looks less attractive now that she is growing and gaining weight."
"As a human being reading those messages about my daughter it gives me pain, I feel pain. But, I will not let those negative comments destroy me,” said Sonia Morales.
Morales says she’s chosen to be the voice her daughter doesn’t have, sharing the strong, age-old message with her followers that it’s what’s on the inside that counts.
"Of course she looks different. Of course I can see that. But, it doesn’t mean that because she is different that she is worthless,” said Morales.
Angela was born with a rare birth defect; missing parts of her brain and skull.
Doctors consider Angela a living miracle, thinking she would only live for a few days.
However, two and a half years later, her family says she is flourishing. They document her life and progress on this Facebook page.
It may be hard to believe, but Morales says she often receives negative messages like the one she posted from people who believe she should have aborted Angela.
"They call me selfish, they call me cruel,” said Morales.
Morales says she never responds, but often writes posts like her recent one, urging people to share love rather than hate.
"I don’t care what people say because they’re not the ones living and enjoying her,” said Morales.
