Motorcycle crash on Jamestown Bridge

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said it is investigating a “serious” motorcycle crash on the Jamestown Bridge.

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. when a motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic.

Police said the motorcycle struck the rear of a van, and the driver of the motorcycle was transported to Newport County Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The operator and the passenger of the van were uninjured.

The incident is under investigation.
