UPDATE: Motorcyclist killed in Smithfield crash identified

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — A motorcyclist who died after crashing in Smithfield Thursday has been identified by police.

Shell Ferris, 65, of North Providence was traveling on Farnum Pike when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle.

ABC6 News crews on scene were told by police that Ferris died on the scene.

Crews also saw the medical examiner on scene.
