Motorcyclist dies after late-night crash in East Greenwich

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Greenwich Police Department said that a 52-year-old man was killed after a crash on June 27.

The East Greenwich Firefighters Association IAFF L 3328 said that a person was transported to Kent County Memorial Hospital after a crash on South County Trail around 11 p.m.

The union said in a Facebook post that the car versus motorcycle crash occurred on South County Trail.

The victim was being given CPR while being transported and was declared deceased at the hospital.

Police said that a preliminary investigation found alcohol was not a factor in the crash and there were no charges filed as of Saturday morning.
