Motorcyclist killed in Cranston crash

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning.
Police responded to Old Bald Hill Road shortly after 1 a.m. for a reported crash involving a 2009 Harley Davidson.
Officers said 40-year-old Robert Seeley, of Warwick, was found in the roadway with severe injuries. He was brought to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died.
Police said he lost control on Old Bald Hill Road behind the Toni and Guy Salon, just before the intersection with Cottrell Street.
Seeley was thrown from the motorcycle just before it hit the curb.
Police said Seeley was not wearing a helmet. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
Seeley’s driver’s license had been suspended, and he was not authorized to operate a motorcycle. Police said the motorcycle was unregistered.
The crash remains under investigation.
