UPDATE: Police identify motorcyclist killed in North Kingstown Crash

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) – Police have identified the victim in a fatal motorcycle accident Thursday in North Kingstown.

North Kingstown Police and Fire responded to Roger Williams Way at Mainsail Drive around 12:19 p.m. Thursday for reports of a motor vehicle accident. Initial investigation by North Kingstown Police determined that a motorcycle collided with a front-end loader.

Police said due to injuries sustained in the incident, the motorcycle operator, identified as Joshua Barrette, 28, of Brighton Massachusetts, was transported to Kent Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation by North Kingstown Police and no further information is available at this time.
