MSPCA-Angell to hold fee-free cat and dog adoption events

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — MSPCA-Angell and many of its MASS coalition partners will be waiving adoption fees on some cats and dogs in their shelters.

According to MSPCA-Angell, adoption fees for older cats or cats with medical conditions will be waived starting Friday through Saturday.

These cats tend to remain in shelters longer because of these circumstances.

All four MSPCA-Angell shelters will participate in this fee-free two day event.

This includes those in Boston, Methuen, Salem and Centerville (Cape Cod).

Coalition partners Berkshire Humane Society, Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL) and Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center (TJO) are also waiving fees on these days.

You can view eligible cats here.

On July 21, MSPCA-Angell will launch a week-long fee-free adoption event for all dogs age one and older.

All four locations, along with Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts, Berkshire Humane, Boston Animal Control, Baypath Humane Society, TJO, and WARL will participate in this event.

More information on dogs available through this event can be found here.

These events coenside with the MASS coalition’s one-year anniversary.
