MSPCA seeking adopters for more than 40 rabbits

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said it was seeking adopters for 44 rabbits that were surrendered from a property in Bristol County.

MSPCA said that the rabbits were seized on Feb. 12 due to being subject to “unsanitary conditions.”

The organization added that animal cruelty charges for the former owner are pending.

The rabbits range in age, with some as young as eight-weeks-old, and are mostly large breeds.
