Muggy pattern continues this week

Same ‘ol weather song and dance this week, with muggy air and occasional daily downpours – but plenty of dry time along the way.

First, fog is creeping back in this evening, even creating some low visibility here in Providence. Expect pockets of fog across the area into tonight.

Heavy rain and thunder will arrive after midnight, and there could even be a few gusty winds and/or small hail associated with these.

Timing wise, I think things are working out well for the next few daytime periods and the shower activity mostly comes through during the overnights, aside from the spotty stuff.

Big-picture, we are still stuck in this pattern for at least the short term. It is looking like we briefly break out of it by Friday, but the chance for showers returns Saturday into Sunday.

So to recap – continued humid conditions, no days are washouts but we will have to watch those rounds of showers and storms from time to time.

Looking ahead to the 4th, early returns are good with mainly dry conditions. The Stormtrackers will keep you posted every step of the way throughout the week as you plan your holiday festivities!
