Muggy today, isolated shower possible this afternoon

High pressure keeps us mostly dry this week

Happy Monday!

Today is noticeably more humid than it was over the weekend, with dew points in the upper 60s. The good news is that this will be short-lived, as we have a cold front pass through later on this afternoon. Clouds this morning will gradually give way to more sunshine later on, with highs reaching into the low 80s inland and upper 70s along the coast. When that front moves through, there is a chance of a spotty shower between about 3-5pm, but I think the bulk of this activity stays off to our north and west.

High pressure moves in back behind the front, making for a calm forecast ahead. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s inland. Perfect for the first day of school for some of the kiddos out there – in Scituate, Smithfield, West Warwick, and Woonsocket. Other than a chance for some spotty showers again Wednesday afternoon, we stay dry and relatively mild through the workweek, with high temperatures in the 70s.

Have a great week!
