Muggy today, showers/storms possible tomorrow
An isolated shower/storm is possible late today, most will stay dry
The big change in store for your Wednesday is humidity – dew points are already higher than they were yesterday, and it will be noticeably muggier today compared to earlier this week. So although high temperatures today will be similar to yesterday (upper 80s/low 90s inland, low 80s along the coast), bear in mind the humidity will make it feel a bit warmer. More clouds will be around through the day today as well. There’s a chance of an isolated shower/storm late tonight, but we think the bulk of this activity stays in western MA and fizzles out before it gets to us.
The more robust chance for some showers/storms comes into play tomorrow as a cold front passes through. Expect shower/storm activity to begin around lunchtime, wrapping up after sunset. Some of these storms could bring gusty winds and localized downpours, but rain amounts will be hit-or-miss. We really do need every drop we can get – in Providence, we haven’t had any rainfall since the first of the month.
Once that front passes through, we cool off and become less humid Friday into Saturday. There will be more sunshine in the mix, as well.
Have a great Wednesday!
