Multi-city drug bust leads to 7 arrests

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. – According to police 7 arrests have been made concluding a lengthy investigation into large scale narcotics distribution operations that took place in Central Falls, Providence, and Pawtucket.

On October 7, 2016, officers from the Central Falls Police Department Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Providence Police Department Narcotics Unit, and the Pawtucket Police Department Special Squad, executed search warrants on Pine Street in Central Falls, Violet Street in Providence, and Melrose Ave in Pawtucket.

A large quantity of heroin and cocaine were seized from the execution of the search warrants and led to a thirty-seven (37) count indictment from the Rhode Island Grand Jury.

The 7 suspects listed below were arrested and charged with various narcotics charges:

Mauricio Nova (28) of Pawtucket

-Nine Counts of Delivery of Heroin

-Two Counts of Delivery of Fentanyl

-Seven Counts of Controlled Substance Conspiracy

-Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver

-Manufacture an Ounce to a kilo of Heroin

-Maintaining a Narcotics Nuisance

Jose Mueses (35) of Central Falls

-Four Counts of Delivery of Heroin

-One Counts of Delivery of Cocaine

-Two Counts of Controlled Substance Conspiracy

-Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver

-Narcotics Nuisance

Rosa Diaz (22) of Pawtucket

-Two Counts of Delivery of Heroin

-Two Counts of Controlled Substance Conspiracy

-Possession with Intent to Deliver Schedule I

-Manufacture an Ounce to a kilo of Heroin

-Maintaining a Narcotics Nuisance

Chayneth Febus (20) of Providence

-One Count of Delivery of Heroin

-One Count of Delivery of Cocaine

-Two Counts of Controlled Substance Conspiracy

-Manufacture an Ounce to a kilo of Heroin

-Manufacture an Ounce to a kilo of Cocaine

-Manufacture/Possession/Delivery of Schedule I-II

Luis Velazquez (52) of Central Falls

-One Count of Delivery of Heroin

-One Count of Delivery of Fentanyl

-Two Counts of Controlled Substance Conspiracy

Carlos Santos (25), Robinson Abreu (22) both of Providence

-One Count of Manufacture an Ounce to a kilo of Heroin

-One Count of Manufacture an Ounce to a kilo of Cocaine

-One Count of Manufacture/Possession/Delivery of Schedule I-II

Police say three subjects have active arrest warrants for various narcotics violations:

Harold Lugo (24) of Central Falls

Reynaldo Estrella (29) of Providence

Edwin Lopez Nova (28) of Providence
