Multiple fire stations respond to Warren Avenue fire
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A fire on Warren Avenue in East Providence required both East Providence and Seekonk firefighters to tame.
ABC6 News Crews are live on the scene of Warren Avenue which is blocked off with a heavy police presence from Abby Street to Alford Street.
The bulk of the attack by firefighters it to the second floor of the home. Heavy smoke can be seen emanating from the second floor through the back of the house.
News Crews report no smoke or fire is visual at this time from outside, but crews are still making their way into the home.
East Providence Battalion Chief Frederick MacDonald confirmed with ABC6 that one person was displaced by the fire, luckily they did not sustain any injuries.
Crews battling the fire had to also battle freezing temperatures, the first fire hydrant was frozen upon arrival, but they were able to open a second hydrant.
At this time the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
