Mutual aid crews battle two alarm fire in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — Westerly Fire Department and mutual aid crews responded to a structure fire on Dunns Corners Bradford Road Sunday.
Crews responded to the fire at approximately 2:39 p.m., which broke out in a metal barn-style building.
The contents of the structure called for foam operations in fighting the fire, and a second alarm assignment was transmitted in short time.
Most of the fire was knocked down but crews maintained ladder pipe operations to cool the metal heated in the blaze.
Mutual aid in the fighting of the fire included crews from Ashaway, Watch Hill and Misquamicut.
The State Fire Marshals office was requested to the scene and personnel remained on the scene until 8:30 p.m.
