National Coffee Day celebrated at Aroma Joe’s Thayer St. location
Thayer Street was buzzing Wednesday for National Coffee Day with the new addition of Aroma Joe’s, a New England hand crafted beverage chain that has now opened its first Rhode Island location.
Owner Ann-Marie Lukin, a Providence native, is proud to open shop right down the street from her home.
Aroma Joe’s not only celebrated National Coffee Day with free 16-ounce iced and hot coffees, but they also donated a dollar for every drink to the Dempsey Center.
Aroma Joe’s is the official coffee of the Dempsey Center, founded by actor Patrick Dempsey, which provides services and care to cancer patients.
The chain was founded in 2000 in Portland, Maine, and now has over 79 locations across the country. Aroma Joe’s specializes in coffee and espresso drinks as well as breakfast sandwiches and pastries.
