The neighbor of a Cumberland man who was found murdered at his home on Indiana Avenue was arrested Wednesday on felony larceny charges.
Police say they executed a search warrant Wednesday at the home of 56-year-old William Donnelly, as part of the investigation into the death of his neighbor 80-year-old Stanley Stowik.
Following the search, Donnelly was arrested on an outstanding larceny warrant out Attleboro. Police have not said if Donnelly is a suspect in the murder.
Donnelly appeared in court Thursday, charged with breaking and entering in a dwelling without consent, and as fugitive of justice from Massachusetts, both unrelated to the homicide. He is scheduled to be back in court on November 25th.
