New Bedford Fire Department extinguishes early morning garage fire

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Fire Department said it responded to a garage fire on Jenney Street early Saturday morning.

In a social media post the department said that upon arrival crews saw flames coming from a two-stall detached garage that threatened the nearby house.

The department added that firefighters were able to contain all damage to the garage and that there were no injuries as a result.

The fire is still under investigation.
