NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of New Bedford said it is launching an online dashboard featuring real-time air quality data taken from a network of sensors placed across the city.

Officials said the project is “meant to inform residents and guide decision-makers on public policy and equitable health outcomes.”

There are 20 solar-powered sensors across the community, including in the New Bedford Business Park, Fort Taber Community Center, Buttonwood Park, St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford Regional Airport, and Pier 3.
