New Bedford man arrested for trafficking fentanyl

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – A New Bedford man has been arrested on narcotics charges, New Bedford police announced Wednesday.

Police say they executed a search warrant at an apartment on Division St. Manuel Cabeleira, 37, was arrested.

Authorities seized more than 37 grams of fentanyl, digital scales, packaging materials, and $922 in cash.

According to New Bedford police, Cabeleira was previously convicted of drug distribution in 2014.
