New Bedford man arrested on drug possession, stolen gun charges

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — A New Bedford man was arrested by police detectives Tuesday on narcotics and illegal gun charges.

Daejhon Lino Gomes, 26, of New Bedford was the subject of a search warrant for a suspected cocaine distribution operation.

The search of his home found over nine grams of cocaine, 10 grams of mushrooms, digital scales, packaging materials and over $200 according to police.

Gomes was also allegedly found to be in possession of a loaded 38 caliber revolver that was found to have been stolen out of Dartmouth.

Gomes was charged with unlawful possession of a stolen gun, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a class C substance.
