New Bedford man pleads guilty to illegally possessing a firearm

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – A New Bedford man plead guilty Tuesday in a Boston federal court to illegally possessing a Mustang .380 and ammunition.

Victor Morales, 35, plead guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition while being a convicted felon. Morales could face 10 years in prison.

The District Attorney’s Office said Morales possessed the gun in his apartment around July 20 of last year.

He will be sentenced on September 10.
