New Bedford man shot inside restaurant

A New Bedford man was shot inside a restaurant early Saturday morning.

According to police, the 28 year-old man was shot in the midsection at the Golden Greek Restaurant on Coggeshall Street at about 2 a.m.

Police say the shooting occurred after a fight broke out at the restaurant.

The victim’s name has not been released. He is currently in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital.
