New Bedford Police arrest 2 juveniles in connection with stabbing

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said two juveniles were arrested in connection with a stabbing on July 8.

One juvenile was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60-years-old, assault and battery, and armed robbery, while the other was determined to be a bystander and was arrested on an active warrant.

Police said a 63-year-old man reported that he was robbed and stabbed on at Custom House Square.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the two juveniles were located and arrested nearby.
