New Bedford police arrest man in drug trafficking case

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE)- Detectives from the New Bedford Police Department arrested a man who had been trafficking fentanyl in the city on Friday.
Police arrested 31-year-old Jesus Gabriel Merrero Gaeton after executing a search warrant for a property on Babbitt Street.
During the search, investigators found and seized 215 grams of fentanyl, a digital scale, packaging materials, and $2,252 in cash.
