New Bedford Police investigating shooting

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said it is investigating a shooting Monday night.
Police responded to the area of Bedford Street and S. Seventh Street around 9 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
At the scene, police found a man who sustained injuries and was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital.

Officers were called to the scene around 9 p.m. Monday to find a man who’d been shot.

ABC6 News Crews on scene reported seeing police tape and an area cordoned off where police appeared to have focused the investigation.
Both Bedford Street and S. Seventh Street are closed as police are investigating the scene Monday night.
