New Bedford police investigating Tuesday night shooting

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – New Bedford police are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night in the city.

Police say one of their “shot spotters” went off on Chancery Street and Emerson Street around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Right after that, a victim showed up at a nearby hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot injury, according to police.

Police say the incident is under investigation.
