New Bedford police make major drug trafficking arrest

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police narcotics detectives have made an arrest in connection to a large fentanyl trafficking operation.

Richardo Cruz De Los Santos, 41, of New Bedford was arrested on January 5 for allegedly trafficking fentanyl out of his first floor apartment at 255 North Front Street.

The search warrant uncovered approximately 428 grams of fentanyl, digital scales, packing materials and $1,377 in cash.

Cruz De Los Santos was charged with trafficking more 200 grams of fentanyl.
