New Bedford police make weekend firearms arrest

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police arrested a Brockton resident for numerous firearms-related offenses Saturday.

Jazziah Grisset-Watson, 20, occupied a vehicle with heavily tinted windows, which were noticed by police in the area of the Blue Meadows housing development.

Police followed the vehicle until it came to a stop in a Dunkin Donuts parking lot, and after an investigation, Grisset-Watson was found to be in possession of a loaded 40-caliber Smith and Wesson handgun for which he did not have a license.

He was placed under arrest and was charged with unlicensed possession of a high-capacity firearm and ammunition.

The operator was cited for excessive window tint and allowed to leave the scene.
