New Bedford Police searching for missing 16-year-old boy

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department is searching for a missing 16-year-old boy, according to the department.

16-year-old Ryan Clavin, of New Bedford, was reported missing on Aug. 17, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

New Bedford police said Clavin was reported missing after he ran away from the Department of Children and Families.

New Bedford police said it is working with the Missing Youth Task Force, which includes DCF, the Child Advocacy Center, and social workers, in the search for Clavin.
