New Bedford precincts take part in post-election audit

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of New Bedford said that two voting precincts in the city were randomly selected to take part in a statewide post-election audit.

Ward 5, Precinct B, and Ward 6, Precinct were audited by hand count.

The city said that state law requires random post-election audits after presidential elections, and that 3% of all precincts in the state take part.

Results will be posted on the Secretary of State’s website when they are received.
