New Bedford sets up fundraiser for family of fatal accident victims
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The city of New Bedford is looking to come together to help a 15-year-old girl manage the unthinkable after a crash earlier this month killed her mother, her brother and totaled their home.
Nani Osorio Colon’s mom and brother were killed in a roll over crash on I-195 on September 6th.
It also destroyed the family’s car, which they had been living in, as Nani’s mother was on the verge of securing a new home.
While Nani lives with a friend’s grandmother, the South Coast Harvest Festival is organizing a raffle for her.
If you’d like to donate, you can drop off school supplies, clothing, household items, groceries, and gift cards at the New Bedford Police Station.
They will be accepting donations from now until September 23rd.
