New England Institute of Technology found clear after ‘threat’

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Greenwich Police Department said that part of the New England Institute of Technology campus had to be evacuated after a “threat” on Sunday.

The campus was given the all clear by 6:15 p.m., and nothing pertaining to the threat was found.

Police said the threat was made to a dorm through one of the school’s social media platforms.

The department went through “normal protocol” and using search dogs.
